Fall is around the corner and that means that winter is not far behind! It’s important to remember that these feelings are normal and there are some things you can do to take care of yourself during this time! Here are some Self Care ideas for the fall season.

Self-care can be anything :

That you do for yourself, even if it’s something small like taking five minutes out of your day to relax or meditate.

It’s important not to neglect yourself when dealing with these difficult emotions because neglecting yourself has shown to make these feelings worse.

  2. Carve a pumpkin
  3. Visit an apple orchard
  4. Go to a haunted house

Spend some extra time outside during the day

Taking a quick walk or going on a hike will give you some time to get away from all of your responsibilities and help with better sleep at night since sunlight helps regulate your internal clock.

This is the ideal season for walks since the weather is crisp and you get to see brilliant fall hues.

Some tips on doing this.

  1. Try a new hairstyle.
  2. Put on a nice pair of clothes, perhaps ones you would wear to work or to a party.
  3. Change your hairstyle
  4. Put on some makeup
  5. Wear some jewelry

Take a bath with essential oils and candles

Taking a bath with essential oils and candles is a great way to relax during the fall. It’s calming, therapeutic, and gives you some alone time.

Choose your favorite essential oil that smells good to you then combine it with a carrier oil and pour a few drops into the hot water. Light some good scented candles around you

Some good essential oils to use while bathing for self-care are

Lavender Essential Oil

One of my favorite essential oils for self-care is Lavender. It smells so good and also helps with relaxation. A quick bath with lavender essential oil is a really great way to relax, relieve stress, and soothe your body.

Rosemary Essential Oil

Another one of my favorites is rosemary essential oils for baths or just smelling them on their own. Rosemary has been shown to have positive effects on the emotional side of mental health. They are very uplifting and can help with feelings of hopelessness.

Other ways to use Essential oils

If you’re not much for baths, it’s also a good idea to use a few drops of essential oil on your pillow or the palm of your hand so you can smell it at night before going to sleep.

It will help with anxiety and depression as well as stress and insomnia!

Sit outside and Have a warm drink

A hot drink, such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or even a warm soup can be a great way to feel cozy and comforted during the fall.

These drinks also offer the benefit of caffeine which is good for your brain and can help with feelings of anxiety. Coffee and tea also contain antioxidants and flavonoids that are great for your health!
